Streets of Ribeira

During a recent short trip to Porto, I took a morning walk on the streets of Ribeira neighborhood. You’ve probably heard of it. Ribeira is a picturesque area by the riverside, with small, colorful old houses and narrow, mysterious streets. Usually, as any touristic area, the place is very crowded, but not when you wake up at 6 a.m. to wander around aimlessly. Without the daytime noise, I was fascinated with the authenticity those tiny streets breathe. You could barely see any person walking around so early, yet you could guess the stories of those few who were. Too bad I only had two hours to discover this wonderful place, I would definitely come back for more.
